and this was a great way to encounter her work

I had been meaning to read Ursula for a long time, and this was a great way to encounter her work. These stories are a collection of her earliest pieces, and you can tell the immense experience she has with all formats and influences. Vaster than Empires and More Slow is an incredible story that had me completely absorbed by the book. I just finished the book and will be ordering the first half immediately after posting.

Excellent collection of short stories

I bought this book for the first story "Semley's Necklace" however; all of them will surpass your expectations. Ursula has a unique way with words that rival her tales.
